Have you ever wondered if often worship is more about what we get from it than what we actually give to our Lord? Do we sometimes make worship all about us?
Thanksgiving Bible Verses

I’ve heard an old, wise quote: “However far the stream flows, it never forgets its source.” But I can’t help but wonder, have many Americans forgotten the source of their blessings? It might be a popular concensus that everything we have and are is a result of our own hard work and effort. (continue reading…)
When Life is Good, it’s Easy to be Thankful!
by JoAnn on Nov.21, 2009, under Reflections, Thanksgiving
When everything is just as it should be, it’s easy to praise God! But how about when the going gets tough? Some get depressed and say “where is God now?” and even give up on God entirely. But no, that is when we need to get even more serious about our worship and praise!
Habakkuk the prophet called out to God in anguish, asking why it seemed that God was not listening to him. And God answered him in Habakkuk 1:5. God told him he was working on something that was so amazing that Habakkuk wouldn’t believe it even if he was told!
Having patience can be the most difficult test of our faith. But remember that God may be working on something in your own life that will just amaze you when it comes through! God’s deliverance can come in unexpected ways that we can’t even imagine. God has a plan that cannot be stopped by any man! (Isaiah 46:10) Praise your way through good and bad times alike!
How great and awesome is our God! He is worthy of our praise today no matter what goes on in our world!
Give Thanks to the Lord
by JoAnn on Nov.17, 2009, under Thanksgiving
This video reminded me of some things for which to thank God that we often take for granted. His goodness and tender mercies. His faithfulness and holiness. His divine nature. His daily guidance that brings unspeakable peace. His holy thoughts toward us more numerous than the sand. This Thanksgiving let us be most thankful for who He is, not what He can do for us. For He alone is worthy of praise and thanksgiving!
