Eternal Destinies Are At Stake
by JoAnn on Feb.07, 2010, under Evangelism
‘And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”’ Mark 16:15
It is not politically correct anymore to spread the Gospel. The popular belief that all spiritual paths lead to God has grown and to say that Jesus is the only way is seen as intolerant even hateful. Yet, accepting these popular notions of the world is the same as denying Christ. All around us are those headed for a Christless eternity. Many are lost and hopeless and do not know the only answer lies in Jesus Christ. (continue reading…)

Jesus the Chief Cornerstone
by JoAnn on Dec.31, 2009, under Evangelism
I have learned that sometimes it doesn’t matter what approach a Christ follower uses to spread the Gospel of Jesus, it just offends some people. The other day an athiest called me “childish and lazy”, among some worse names, for quoting Scripture. I had to remind myself that this person was not rejecting me, but the truth of the Bible and Jesus Christ Himself. But God has already told us this will happen. (continue reading…)
Throw Someone a Lifeline Today
by JoAnn on Dec.19, 2009, under Evangelism

This time of year finds many people lonely and feeling unloved. While many of us are timid and feel we will be ridiculed or rejected for witnessing, many of these people are just waiting for our message of hope. (continue reading…)

A Song by Keith Green
Do you see, do you see; All the people sinking down
Don’t you care, don’t you care; Are you gonna let them drown
How can you be so numb; Not to care if they come
You close your eyes; And pretend the job’s done
“Oh bless me Lord, bless me Lord”; You know it’s all I ever hear
No one aches, no one hurts; No one even sheds one tear
But He cries, He weeps, He bleeds; And He cares for your needs
And you just lay back; And keep soaking it in,
Oh, can’t you see it’s such a sin? (continue reading…)
Hebrews Hall of Fame
by JoAnn on Nov.23, 2009, under Did You Know?, Reflections
There is a hall of fame in Hebrews 11, listing those in the Bible who are stunning examples of faith. Abraham, Moses, Noah, even Rahab all show that faith is the substance of things hoped for, things that are unseen. (Hebrews 11:1)
Hebrews 12:1 tells us that these make up a vast cloud of witnesses to a life of faith! Wow, what a remarkable thing, being surrounded by these champions of faith. There’s a crowd in heaven, alot of them and they’re cheering us on. No matter what battles we are fighting, they give us great inspiration to keep the faith, stay the course until the glorious finish! (continue reading…)
