A very unique Bible is set to be released by publishing giant Zondervan on December 1st. It is the Bible Across America, compiled from over 31,000 handwritten verses collected from its cross-country road trip
earlier this year. Zondervan sponsored a 9 month, 22,579-mile journey where Americans in 90 cities and 40 states each wrote a verse in the Bible. It is said to be the world’s first and only handwritten copy of the entire NIV Bible.

A orginal of the Bible is currently being auctioned on E-Bay, with bidding to close the day the leather bound book is set to become available. Proceeds from the sale of the eBay copy will go to Biblica, formerly known as the International Bible Society, which translates and distributes Bibles.The other original will be given to The Smithsonian Institution.

But if bidding on the original is too rich for your blood, a published copy of the Bible is now available for pre-orders through Amazon.com.
